What Are Your Insurance Needs When Tailgating?

Football season is here! Will you be tailgating? We put together some great insurance advice to think about before you head to the game.

Lucky enough to be heading to the game and not watching from your house? First, be sure to check up on your car insurance and make sure you have the coverage you need. The traffic to and from the game and the congestion while parking are all a recipe for accidents. Be sure you have enough collision coverage to protect you, your car, and your passengers if you were to get into a fender bender (or worse). Property damage coverage would help you pay for the repairs, while bodily injury coverage could help pay for any injuries if someone was injured.

Aside, from your car insurance, you will also want to check up on your personal property coverage on your home insurance. This coverage will protect your grill, chairs, and the many other items you bring with you to a tailgate. Personal property coverage is the coverage you’d rely on for your tailgating essentials. More questions before hitting the road? Call your agent and check your limits and coverage. Every policy is different and it’s important yours fits your unique needs.
