When Is Curbside Christmas Tree Pickup in Reading?

Here's when you can dispose of your tree, as well as some other useful holiday trash pickup information for 2016.

READING, MA — Christmas is a time where homes are filled with love and holiday cheer. Unfortunately, it's also a time where homes are filled with things that will need to be disposed of, particularly your christmas tree.

In Reading, curbside pickup of christmas trees takes place Jan. 9 through Jan. 13 in connection with the regular trash schedule. You can also compost your trees at the Compost Area on Strout Avenue from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 14. There should be no tinsel, ornaments or plastic bags on the tree.

Holiday trash pickup will be delayed one day the week of the 26th and the week after Christmas.
