Where in Reading Can You Get Free Baby Books?

You read that correctly: There is a place in Reading where you can get free books for your new baby's personal library.

There’s a lot to think about when you first bring a new baby home, so it’s natural that baby’s bookshelves aren’t top of mind right away.

But after the dust settles and you settle into life with baby, you’ll likely find yourself noticing that baby needs some books.

The Reading Public Library can help.

Pack up baby and head to the library where you can pick up at SmartStart Baby Bag. The bag includes booklists, useful early literacy information, and an application for baby’s first library card, according to a post on the library website.

And, thanks to the Friends of the Reading Public Library, the bag also includes some books for you to keep and make a permanent part of your baby’s book collection.

“It’s our gift to you! Let us help grow your child’s home library and welcome him or her into a community of lifelong learners,” reads the post.
