Wood End student running the Falmouth Road Race to raise money MS Research

Wood End 5th grader Andrew Benassi is running the Falmouth Road Race on August 17th.  For the 2nd year in a row, Andrew is running with the MS Race Team as they raise money for the National MS Society.  Last year, Andrew's team raised $3400, and $2600 came from Andrew's supporters.

Andrew he hopes that events like this will raise enough money so a cure for MS will be found soon.  Because his Mom Josie was diagnosed with MS a little over 4 years ago, Andrew is extra motivated to raise money and finish the race for his Mom.

About MS:

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling, disease of the central nervous system that interrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Millions of people are affected by MS and the challenges of living with its unpredictable symptoms, which range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are moving us closer to a world free of MS.
Your gift helps support cutting-edge research and programs and services for everyone impacted by MS. Ending MS means no one will hear the words "You have MS" ever again. Every dollar counts!
