YMCA Honors State Sen. Jason Lewis

State Sen. Jason Lewis recently received a 2014 YMCA Legislative Champion Award from the Alliance of Massachusetts YMCAs.

Lewis was honored for his “outstanding service” during the 2013-2014 legislative session, in particular his support for programs benefitting children, including early education and Youth-At-Risk funding, as well as funding for the Active Streets program, which enables communities to provide safe places for children to play.

Lewis, of Winchester, is a Democrat representing the 5th Middlesex District, which covers Malden, Melrose, Reading, Stoneham, Wakefield and precincts 1, 2, 3 and 8 in Winchester.
