Faulty Electronic Monitoring Bracelet Results in Warrant Arrest for Roslindale Man

A Roslindale man was arrested on a probation warrant for temporary detainment, despite the suspect's pleas that his electronic monitoring bracelet was not properly charging.
On Nov. 17 around 8:13 a.m., Mustafa S. Alzobier, of 993 South St., Roslindale, was arrested on a probation warrant for temporarty custody to detain.

The suspect came to the door after officers knocked at his residence. Officers explained to the suspect that the warrant had been issued for him. The suspect stated he had met with his probation officer on Nov. 16 and explained that his court mandated tracking bracelet was not propertly charging. The officer explained to the suspect that they had a warrant in hand, showing it to him, according to a Boston Police report.
An officer was able to make contact with the probation department to notify the suspect had been detained. A member of the Massachusetts Probation Electronic Monitoring Program explained to police that the suspect did notify them that his bracelet was not charging properly, and he was advised "to contact OCC in order to rectify the issue." Police were told the suspect did not comply and thus the warrant was issued, according to a Boston Police report.
