SALEM, MA — A 13-year-old boy who did not return to a Salem apartment for hours after leaving to walk his dog Monday afternoon was found safe in Marblehead.
Salem police said Owen Hansen, who is visiting the area with his family from Minnesota, was reunited with his family after a frantic search Monday night.
Salem police had asked for the public's help in locating Hansen after he left the Perkins Street apartment with his dog about 2 p.m. and was still missing well into the night. Police thoroughly searched the area amid fears he may have lost his way in an unfamiliar city.
