3 Injured In Salem 4-Vehicle Chain Reaction Crash On North Street
The street was shut down for about 90 minutes as Salem fire cut the driver's door off one vehicle so they could remove the driver.
SALEM, MA — Three drivers were injured and one was cited for negligent operation of a vehicle following a four-crash crash that closed North Street in Salem for about 90 minutes on Thursday night.
Salem police said they responded to the crash at about 6:30 p.m. in which it was determined that a vehicle traveling westbound crossed the center line and struck a vehicle traveling eastbound. The chain reaction caused the crash to involve another vehicle that could not stop in time to avoid the collision and a parked car in front of 227 North Street.
Salem fire had to cut the door off the vehicle that was initially struck and went on to hit the parked car to be able to remove the driver.
