3 Men Charged, Guns Seized In Salem Shooting Spree

Salem police said three were charged following a hail of gunfire on Albion Street early last week.

SALEM, MA — Sixty-six shell casings were found in the area of Albion Street, with three Massachusetts men now facing multiple attempted murder and gun charges, after what police called a targeted attack in Salem early last week.

Police said no one was injured, "but all in the area were subjected to significant danger" amid the gunfire that broke out shortly before 7 a.m. on April 14. Bullets were found to have struck cars, signs and other structures in the area.

Police said near dawn on Friday, search warrants and arrest warrants were executed in Dorchester, Somerville and Quincy, with three men charged and two guns seized.

Ronnie Cato, 19, of Dorchester, John King-Marshall, 18, of Quincy, and Richardson Frederic, 18, of Somerville, were charged with three counts of armed assault with Intent to murder, assault with a dangerous weapon, discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a building, possession of large capacity firearm, and possession of a large capacity feeding device.

Police said Frederic will also be charged with Possession of an untraceable firearm.
