SALEM, MA — A sold-out screening at Cinema Salem brought together horror film fans and industry partners for a cancer benefit tied to the world premiere of a new 4K restoration of Fright Night Part 2 (1988).

Red Shirt Home Video, Synapse Films, The Spooky Picture Show and Cinema Salem said proceeds from ticket sales, exclusive poster sales and raffles went directly to support Erich Gamache and his family following his recent cancer diagnosis.

The event included in-person appearances by William Ragsdale, who played Charley Brewster, and Julie Carmen, who played Regine.

The sold-out event raised $3,500.

The screening was the first public showing of the new restoration. The transfer is culled from a brand-new 4K scan of the film's original camera negative and was approved by director of photography Mark Irwin for the first time.

"He has been an essential and valued member of our online gaming group for years and is one of our favorite people on the planet," Michael Felsher of Red Shirt Home Video said of Gamache. "We love you, Erich, and we hope that this event provides you with some help during this difficult time."

Chris MacGibbon of The Spooky Picture Show podcast said: "This is a chance for the horror community to do what it does best - come together."
