SALEM, MA — The Cove at Salem plans to open The Lawn next month, adding a new outdoor gathering space at the hotel for guests and the local community.
The Lawn will include a beer and wine garden, light bites, fire pits, outdoor games and seating. The hotel said the space is designed as a place for people to unwind, connect and spend time outdoors during the season.
It is set to open on Aug. 15.
The Lawn will also host a rotating lineup of live music, sports games, comedy nights, seasonal events and other special gatherings, according to the hotel.
The space will also be available to rent for private events, including celebrations, corporate gatherings and social occasions.
Co-owner Krysten Sjogren said the hotel wants the new addition to serve both overnight guests and Salem residents.
"We are so excited to share this new addition of the hotel with not only our guests, but the local community as well," she said. "Salem is a city with incredible history and energy, and we wanted The Lawn to complement that by creating an outdoor destination that brings people together. From local bands and food trucks to lawn games, seasonal events, and our beer/wine bar, every detail was designed to create an experience that people will want to come back to again and again.

The Cove at Salem is located at 40 Bridge Street in Salem.
