Axl Could Be Your Sweet Child (With Paws): Patch Shelter Spotlight

SALEM, MA — Families looking for a medium-sized pup with a big personality and plenty of energy may find their perfect bandmate in Axl — this week's Patch Shelter Spotlight.

Axl is a 6-month-old Parson Jack Russell mix that weighs about 35 pounds. The Northeast Animal Shelter of Salem describes him as a "playful pup always ready for adventure." Axl loves to run, jump and play with both humans and other dogs.

"With a friendly and sociable nature, this dog thrives in an environment with other canine companions, making playtime a joyous occasion for all," NEAS said.

Axl is still working on training, manners and housebreaking, but is described as "eager to learn" and said to respond well to positive reinforcement.

"With a bit of patience and consistency, you'll find a loyal and loving friend who will bring endless joy and excitement to your home," the NEAS said. "If you're ready for an energetic and playful companion, this dog is waiting to join your family."
