Blues on Sunday: Father's Day Dinner at The Beehive

South End Restaurant Honors Dad with Special Blues on Sunday Dinner

Give Dad a break from his grilling duties on Sunday, June 21st, 2015 and head straight to The Beehive in Boston’s South End for a day of food, libations and live Sunday blues. From 8:00PM to 12:00AM the all-star house blues band led by 25-year-old musical veteran keyboardist and producer, Bruce Bears, will take the stage for a dinner set Dad won’t forget.

Father’s Day dinner will be served from 5:30PM to 1:00AM and will feature an array of dishes such as the Szechuan Style Beef Brisket with kung pao vegetables ($25), Swordfish Puttanesca with tomato, capers, olives, lemon, linguine ($29) and Duck Au Poivre with schmaltz fried rice, pickles and mustard jus ($28). The best part? Dad can wash it all down with The Beehive Honey Brew ($5.75 12. oz/ $8.50 20 oz.), a light pilsner with a local honey-infused finish, brewed only for The Beehive by the Cape Ann Brewing Company. For a less formal option, Dad can grab one of The Beehive’s signature cocktails such as the Son of a Gun made with bourbon, Canton ginger liqueur, ruby port and Peychaud’s ($13) at the bar while Bruce Bears and his band of legendary players get down. The perfect antidote to the Sunday blues!

Brunch is also served regularly from 10:00AM to 3:00PM on Saturdays and Sundays. Customers can enjoy the Beehive’s signature dishes including Salmon Cake with poached eggs, hollandaise, and a mixed salad ($17); Thick-Cut French Toast with Chantilly cream and maple syrup ($14.50), along with many other favorites.

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made by calling 617.423.0069.
