BSA Troop 24 from Salem, MA participated in Memorial Day ceremonies at Harmony Grove Cemetery, Greenlawn Cemetery, and at the start of the Sergeant James Ayube II Memorial Drive which connects the Cities of Salem and Beverly. Sergeant Ayube was a combat medic in the Army and he was killed in action on December 8th, 2010 after a suicide bomber attacked his unit while on patrol in Afghanistan. In his youth, Sgt. Ayube was a proud member of Troop 24. Every Memorial Day, Troop 24 pays tribute to him, and all service members who have given their lives in the service of our country.
