Car Plunges Off Salem Bridge Into Danvers River
A driver was rescued from the Danvers River Tuesday night after driving off the Kernwood Bridge Tuesday night.
SALEM, MA — A driver was rescued from the Danvers River in Salem on Tuesday night after the car he was driving went off the Kernwood Bridge near the Beverly line.
The driver told police he escaped the car through the window and that he was the only person in the vehicle, according to multiple reports.
Salem fire and a Beverly dive team were called to the scene to secure the car from the water and verify there were no other victims.
