Cat of the week.

From scared and hiding, to friendly and playful!

3 year old Sampson arrived at the Northeast Animal Shelter back in November after being rescued from a colony in Boston. When put into a kennel he would hide in his bed, keeping his head down and hiss when approached. Now that Sampson has a room with a roommate, he is doing much better. Sampson is friendly and often greets staff and volunteers at his door. He enjoys being petted, playing with toys and will rub his head on legs. When Sampson wants some quiet time he will let you know and as long as you are respectful to him and grant him his wish he will go and rest on something soft. Sampson does like other cats and is the more submissive type, allowing the other one to boss him about. He will not retaliate, but will just move away. Sampson has been neutered and is Up to Date with vaccines. He is waiting to become part of a loving forever family.

If you are interested in meeting to maybe adopt Sampson, you can visit him at the Northeast Animal Shelter located in Salem, MA. Visiting hours are Monday-Friday 10-8 and weekends 10-6. You can also view more information online @ www.neas.org or call 978-745-9888
