Cat of the week

Shy Fluffy needs someone just like you.

6 Year old Fluffy is one of 6 female cats that were surrendered to the Northeast Animal Shelter when their person was unable to keep them. Fluffy has lived in the same home, with her littermates since birth. She is shy and nervous, but is slowly coming around. With familiar people that have spent time with her, she will allow brief periods of being patted and has also allowed staff to brush her fur. Fluffy has even showed interest in string toys. Fluffy is not the type of kitty that you can jump right into hugs and play with. The someone special that adopts her will have to have a quiet home and plenty of patience. She will need someone to "go slow" with her and allow her the time she needs to feel comfortable. She is looking for an adult only home.

Fluffy is still pretty scared, but is slowly coming out of her shell. She has allowed a staff to brush her and enjoyed being patted for a couple of moments. She also enjoys being read too. This past weekend she began to explore her room, played with a string toy and enjoyed cuddling with her roommate named Tiny.

Fluffy has been spayed and is up to date with vaccines. If you are interested in meeting to maybe adopt her, she can be visited at the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. Visiting hours are Monday through Friday 10-8 and weekends 10-6.

For more information please call the shelter at 978-745-9888 and ask to talk to an Adoption Counselor. You can also view all available pets on their website @www.neas.org
