Chamber Welcomes New Assistant Director

Jill Thompson has experience working for non-profits and membership associations.

The Salem Chamber of Commerce recently welcomed Jill Thompson as its new Assistant Director.

Thompson brings nearly six years of experience working with non-profit organizations and membership associations.

Thompson recently worked as the Director of Operations for an art gallery on Newbury Street in Boston’s Back Bay. Before moving to Massachusetts in late October of 2014, she was employed as the Membership & Communications Manager at Holland-Parlette Associates (HPA), an Association Management Company headquartered in Indianapolis, IN.

Raised in Kentucky, Thompson graduated from Georgetown College near Lexington, KY with a B.S. in psychology and political science in 2008. That spring, she received a Fulbright Scholarship to teach English in Germany from August 2008 through June 2009. Upon return to the United States, she attended the Martin School of Public Policy & Administration at the University of Kentucky to gain her Master of Public Administration (MPA) in 2011.

Thompson enjoys traveling, spending time with her two dogs and enjoying all the North Shore and Boston have to offer.
