'COAST TO COAST PADDLE' TO BRING KAYAKING AND PADDLEBOARDING TO SALEM

-- Beverly-based paddleboard and kayak shop to offer rentals, tours and lessons from Salem Willows Beach --

Beverly-based COAST TO COAST PADDLE is expanding to offer paddleboard and kayak rentals, tours and lessons to the waterways of Salem. Located to the right of the pier at Salem Willows Beach, COAST TO COAST PADDLE will provide rentals and instructions for everyone from novice beginners to the most seasoned water sports enthusiasts.

“Salem offers an extremely diverse and exciting playground for everyone who loves being on the water,” said COAST TO COAST PADDLE co-owner Aaron Mearns, an experienced paddle guide and instructor. “Our waterfront location offers the best of both worlds. Being adjacent to two protected harbors, we have access to sheltered paddling, but we can also offer more adventurous paddles to the numerous islands within Salem Sound.” Adds co-owner Ashley Skomurski, “The Salem waterfront is a perfect spot to spend the day. You can paddle in the morning, have a picnic lunch or visit the food vendors at the beach, and then get some popcorn or ice cream at the popular E.W. Hobbs, and the visit the arcade for some fun with the whole family.”

COAST TO COAST PADDLE in Salem will be open 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm for rentals, lessons and tours from Memorial Day weekend through October. Tours will explore Salem’s extensive maritime history, combining an exploration of the past with the excitement of the city’s potential as a popular destination for recreational water sports. COAST TO COAST PADDLE also provides paddleboard and kayak rentals and tours in Danvers at Pope’s Landing Marine, as well as in Beverly at 296A Cabot Street in Beverly. The Beverly location is open year round for retail sales of paddleboards, kayaks and surf related products as well as traditional beach accessories, from towels to sunscreen to sandals and boogie boards.
