CultureFest a Big Hit on Common

Annual event continues for a second day on Sunday.

The annual Salem CultureFest on the Salem Common got off to a great start on Saturday, with music, food, and arts and crafts for all ages.

The event, sponsored by the Town of Salem and A3D, aims to bring to the surface the diversity of cultures found around Salem.

The event features live bands showcasing a variety of cultures and styles as well as other performers, including storytellers, martial artists, and dancers.

There is also a wide-range of arts, crafts, and food from a wide-range of cultures at this family friendly event.

The Salem CultureFest continues Sunday on the Salem Common from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A3D is a local organization that aims to build and maintain the capacity to effectively address the economic, educational, environmental, and public health needs of African and other underserved culturally diverse populations and organizations in the Greater Boston and North Shore area and abroad through targeted programs and micro-financed enterprises.
