6 Month old Ruby was found at a car dealership and then came to the Northeast Animal Shelter in Salem, MA. Ruby was super shy when she first arrived, so we decided to send her to a Foster home where she is currently so we can determine her wants and needs. In the Foster home she went from being scared of being outside and using pee pads inside to enjoying the company of the other dogs and following their cues for bathroom use outdoors. Ruby no longer needs pee pads while inside. She gets along well with the other dogs and likes the resident cat as well. Ruby did take almost 2 weeks to adjust in the home and will now allow her Foster Parents to pick her up. She also does well when people stop by to visit. Ruby has always been respectful in the home and will hang out with the other dogs when the fosters go out.
Ruby is a Labrador and Terrier Mix, has been spayed and is up to date with vaccines. She is looking for a home where she can continue training and learning. She is treat motivated and loves being part of a pack. She would love to live with another dog or two.
