Forest River Bridge Volunteer Workday

Join the Salem Conservation Commission for a volunteer workday to maintain and repair the Forest River Footbridge.

Many of the bridge’s support beams are in need of replacement, and loose surface planks need to be reinforced. The work may take 4-8 hours depending on the number of volunteers, so the more the better -- but whatever you can contribute will be appreciated! Bring work gloves if you have them.

Mayor Driscoll noted that, “This is a chance for all who enjoy Salem’s conservation land to play a direct role in its stewardship.”
