forum - Democracy Betrayed: the Citizens United Supreme Court Decision and How Corporations Rule America

Move to Amend North Shore and Occupy Salem will host the forum - Democracy Betrayed: the Citizens United Supreme Court Decision and How Corporations Rule America at the Universalist Church at 211 Bridge St. in Salem on January 12 at 7 pm. John Hill, from Greater Boston Move to Amend, will be the main speaker.       

The recent U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in Citizens United v. FEC opened the floodgates to unlimited corporate spending on elections. Hill, an organizer for the Greater Boston Move to Amend coalition, will help local residents understand the history behind the recent decision and how they can work to abolish "Corporate Personhood" and reestablish a government of, by, and for the people.
