From Carriage to Car: 100 Years of Locomotion

The collection of five carriages and three cars in the Phillips House Museum collection reflects the technological changes in locomotion in the century that the family has been associated with 34 Chestnut Street. Biff Michaud, an old car enthusiast and Salem Witch Museum CEO, will be presenting a talk on this time of transition on Wednesday, July 13 from 6:30-7:30 at the Phillips House. Following the talk, visitors will be able to take advantage of a full tour of the Carriage House at 34 Chestnut Street and get a close up look at the collection.

Weather permitting; the talk will take place outside and Mr. Michaud may bring one of the vehicles from his private collection to show.
