Salem Historian Jim McAllister will explore the Salem Common neighborhood’s relationship to Nathaniel Hawthorne, game manufacturer George Parker, navigator Nathaniel Bowditch, artists Frank Benson and Ross Turner, retailer William Filene and statesman Nathaniel Silsbee.
Tickets are $15 and will be available at the door the night of the lecture. Light refreshments will be served.
Proceeds will benefit the 2012 Salem Common Concerts on the Common.
