L.E.A.N. Essentials Nutrition Workshop for Parents

L.E.A.N. Essentials is an introductory workshop for those with limited time or who want to start with small steps to learn about nutrition and healthy living for children and families. The program focuses on the four pillars of health:

               * Lifestyle – How we live

               * Exercise – How we move

Taught exclusively by  a Certified L.E.A.N.® Coach in one short course, parents, caregivers, and others concerned with children’s health receive the basic framework to move toward healthier choices and behaviors.  The workshops teach through direct instruction, group participation, and activities in the L.E.A.N. Essentials workbook.  Subjects included are:

  • Why should you care what your children eat?
  • Traffic light eating
  • Why breakfast is important
  • The skinny on fat
  • How much protein is enough?
  • Play helps kids grow!
  • Water can be cool!
  • Know the NO’s
  • Myth busters
