Join the staff of Historic New England’s Phillips House and Susan Leavitt, the Oceanic docent from the Peabody Essex Museum, for a special tour of the Oceanic collections from both institutions. Over the years, the Phillips family has made significant contributions of books, pamphlets, and objects that are on display in the Oceanic gallery of the Peabody Essex Museum. The collection has been touted as one of the finest in the country.
This special experience at both institutions will take place on Saturday, April 21 at 2:00 p.m. This tour will start at 34 Chestnut Street and proceed to the Peabody Essex Museum. Visitors should plan for a short walk or drive between museums.
