Ever wonder which fishes live along our coast? Join us as Salem Sound Coastwatch staff and marine scientists drag a large seining net through the water and then lay it out on the beach. We'll examine the catch, talk about the what we found, and learn about the marine habitats and ecology of Salem Sound.
Salem Sound Coastwatch is a nonprofit environmental organization working to make our beaches, salt marshes and coastal waters safe and healthy. This demonstration is being offered as part of the TRAILS & SAILS program sponsored by the Essex National Heritage Commission. It is open to the public and is suitable for all ages.
