Winter Waterfowl Identification Training Session

Sponsored by Salem Sound Coastwatch, a coastal watershed protection organization, this session provides an opportunity for participants to see and learn about the many interesting ducks and geese that winter-over in Salem Sound's coastal waters. Experienced birders will set up spotting scopes, identify the birds, and answer questions.

Free and open to the public. Novices are welcome--no birding experience needed!

Meet at the gazebo which is located at the water’s edge in the Winter Island parking lot. Bring binoculars if you have them. RSVP requested, if possible: 978-741-7900, or info@salemsound.org.

In the event of heavy rain, snow or wind, the session will be held the following day, Sunday, December 11 at the same time.
