SALEM, MA — Salem's Haunted Happenings Grand Parade marked the unofficial kickoff of the Halloween season in Salem.

Thousands of residents lined the parade route to watch the 21st annual parade sponsored by the Salem Chamber of Commerce. Organizations throughout the city and the North Shore walked in the parade.
