Former U.S. Rep. Joe Kennedy III To Speak At Salem State Forum

Kennedy is scheduled to speak at the Frederick E. Berry Institute of Politics on the importance of civic engagement.

SALEM, MA — Former U.S. Rep. Joseph Kennedy III is scheduled to speak at an upcoming forum at Salem State University on the importance of civic engagement.

Kennedy will be part of the forum set for Feb. 15 from 10:50 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. at the Bertolon Business Building Recital Hall on Lafayette Street.

Berry Institute of Politics Fellow and award-winning journalist Alison King will host the event.

Kennedy is the founder of Project Groundwork, a political advocacy group dedicated to investing in community organizing.

He is also the president of Citizens Energy, a nonprofit company that helps low-income families meet their basic needs, and serves in the Biden administration as a special envoy to Northern Ireland for Economic Affairs.

Kennedy is also the grandnephew of President John F. Kennedy and the grandson of former US Attorney General Robert Kennedy.
