Find A New Little Friend For Free In Salem This Valentine's Day
The Northeast Animal Shelter is waiving adoptions fees for rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, birds and other small pets this weekend.

SALEM, MA — Give a guinea pig some love and affection this Valentine's Day.
That's what the Northeast Animal Shelter is hoping some North Shore residents will consider doing as it waives adoption fees for its littlest fellas this weekend.
The Salem shelter and MSCPA-Angell adoption centers are providing fee-free adoptions for rabbits, guinea pigs, mice, hamsters, birds and other small animals on Saturday and Sunday.

"It's the perfect time to add a small pet — which make wonderful first-time or family pets — to a home," the Northeast Animal Shelter said.
The waived fee saves those adopting a rabbit up to $85 and those adopting a guinea pig up to $30.
