Halloween in Salem: Monday Schedule, Road Closures and More

SALEM, MA — Halloween weekend rolls on and will culminate Monday, with the conclusion of the October celebrations in Salem. There are a series of events going on in the city Monday night, culminating with the fireworks celebration to close out the evening.

The Halloween finale fireworks begin at 10:15 p.m. You can also visit the Essex Street Carnival between noon and 10 p.m. Monday.

The fireworks will take place at Washington Street and Bridge Street.

There are various live music events throughout Downtown Salem. Here's a look at the schedule.

Road Closures

Downtown streets will close to all traffic no later than 4 p.m. All cars on blocked streets will need to be off the streets by 4 p.m.

The MBTA has also added extra trains to facilitate the events. You can view the added MBTA train schedule here. The final train to Boston leaves at 11:30 p.m. Monday, to Beverly on the Rockport line at midnight and to Beverly on the Newburyport line at 11:45 p.m.

The Salem Ferry runs from Boston to Salem through Monday before closing for the season.

Tips

  1. Don't get stuck!: The garage at the commuter rail station will be closed to cars from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
