Heavy Rain Cancels Salem Ferry Service For Up To 2 Days
Officials said service was canceled on Wednesday with service on Thursday likely to be affected as well.
SALEM, MA — Heavy rain forced the cancellation of Salem Ferry service on Wednesday with officials expecting disruptions on Thursday as well.
Parts of Massachusetts could get soaked with up to 7 inches of rain on Wednesday with a Flash Flood Watch in effect for much of the state.
"Totals of 2 to 4 inches for most areas, and 5 to 7 inches are possible for the Berkshires and Worcester Hills," the NWS said. "This has the potential to be a significant and life-threatening flood event for urban/poor drainage areas."

Rain will include the possibility of thunderstorms Wednesday night, with showers and thunderstorms lingering into Thursday.
