Update: Trees Down, Heavy Rains in North Reading

At 3:05 p.m., the North Reading police were reporting heavy rains, as much of the area is under a severe thunderstorm warning.

Police were urging commuters to stay off the roads until the most severe of the storms have passed.

By 3:15 p.m., police were reporting trees down on Marblehead Street and Lowell Road.
