6 year old Hippo traveled from California and arrived here at the Northeast Animal Shelter located in Salem, MA. on the 28th of October. He has been neutered and is Up-to-Date with vaccines. He can be shy when meeting new people, but if you sit on the floor and give him a minute to come and check you out, he will be your friend for life. With familiar people he has allowed them to dress him, although he did remove his sweater within about two minutes time. He also does well with baths. Once he knows people, he happily greets them and enjoys going for walks and sitting on laps. He loves being carried around and being with his people too. His favorite treats are peanut butter cookies and his favorite area to be scratched is on his back, down by his tail.
