'Hocus Pocus 2' Brings Sanderson Sisters Back To Salem Common
The city and Creative Collective will host an outdoor screening of the sequel to the cult classic movie set in the Witch City.

SALEM, MA — The Sanderson Sisters are coming back to Salem Common this weekend.
At least, residents and fans of the 1993 cult classic set and filmed in the Witch City will get to see Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker and Kathy Najimy revive their roles on the big screen during a public viewing of "Hocus Pocus 2" set for Salem Common Sunday night.
Creative Collective and the city are hosting the event in the same park where Allison and Max walked to school in the original movie three decades ago. While many scenes from that movie were filmed right in Salem, the bulk of the sequel was filmed in Rhode Island, despite the sequel trailer in which Winifred Sanderson, portrayed by Midler, declares: "Lock up your children! Yes, Salem, we're back!"
