'Hoppy Birth Days': Salem Hospital Welcomes 2 'Leap Babies' On Feb. 29

Baby Hadassa and Baby Castro were both at Salem Hospital on Thursday as the nursery's two "Leap Babies."

SALEM, MA — The nursery population at Salem Hospital grew by leaps and bounds this Feb. 29 as two "Leap Babies" were born on a special day that only comes around once every four years.

Baby Hadassa and Baby Castro were both welcomed into the world on Thursday.

A hospital spokesperson said plenty of "hoppy" moments were shared across the hospitals of Mass General Brigham, including Salem Hospital, with "each tiny tadpole's families and medical teams."
