Latenight Doorbell Ringer Ends Up in Cuffs

Monday, March 18:

• At 6:55 p.m., police responded to a report of a missing child on First Street.
• At 7:36 p.m., a resident called police to report that her vehicle was broken into while parked on Barton Square. The woman said her purse went missing.
• At 8:15 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Swampscott Road. Colleen E. McCarthy, 31, of 7 Emerson Ave., Peabody, was arrested on a charge of giving a false name to police officers, operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant. Francis S. Grillo III, 33, of 25 Marshall Ave., Saugus, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
• At 8:28 p.m., police responded to a report of an attempted larceny at the intersection of Lafayette and Derby streets.
• At 8:59 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Scenic Place.
• At 9:16 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Palmer Street. Linda L. Delacruz, 21, of 18 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested on charges of domestic assault and battery.
• At 10:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious motor vehicle near the intersection of Essex and New Liberty streets.
• At 10:24 p.m., police served a warrant on Memorial Drive. Bradford B. Smith, 44, of 45 Memorial Drive, Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.

Tuesday, March 19:

• At 1:58 a.m., police responded to a report of a man ringing all of the lobby door buzzers at 45 St. Peter St. because he was looking for his friend. Mark S. Gleeson, 46, of 112 Hollingsworth St., Lynn, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
• At 2:27 a.m., police received word that a pickup truck had just struck a fence near the intersection of Canal and Lyme streets and fled the area.
• At 4:51 a.m., police responded to a weather-related motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Derby and Congress streets.
• At 6:17 a.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle stuck on the railroad tracks on Bridge Street. The vehicle reportedly became stuck on the unused tracks.
• At 10:15 a.m., police located a man known to have an outstanding warrant on Lafayette Street. Gary D. Woodbury, 55, of 335 Lafayette St., Salem, was arrested for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
• At 10:38 a.m., police responded to a report of someone tagging a bus stop on Highland Avenue. Responding officers didn't find any fresh graffiti.
• At 12:17 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Herbert Street.
• At 12:50 p.m., a Highland Avenue man called police to report hearing seven "pops" that sounded like gun shots. People in the area were spoken to and no one reported hearing the noises.
• At 2:59 p.m., police responded to a report of a man causing a scene at City Hall on Washington Street.
• At 3:16 p.m., police responded to a dispute over gas at the intersection of Lafayette and Palmer streets.
• At 4:04 p.m., police responded to a report of a "suspicious person bothering traffic" at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Traders Way.
• At 4:14 p.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Essex Street. A truck reportedly struck a house.
