As a benefit for the Carriage House at Lynch Park, three local artists will be holding an exhibit of their work titled "Summer Dreams" on Wednesday August 2nd, 2017 during the Beverly Homecoming Lobster Fest celebration. The exhibit will take place inside the Carriage House at 55 Ober Street, Beverly, MA from 11:30am to 7pm, and is open to the public, free of charge. Original artwork and prints will be for sale. A portion of the proceeds will go to the continued preservation of the Carriage House.
The featured artists are Martha Everson, Alexey Makogonov and Cali Serino.
Under the Full Moon, by Martha Everson, Photographic painting on canvas block, 6"x6" (click on photo for more work by Martha)Martha is a photographic artist, passionate gardener, and avid outdoors gal. Balancing time between the city and the country and working in her Grove Street Studio in Salem MA, she creates work that reflects her painterly sensibility. Each begins as a photograph and is digitally enhanced. Her genres include gardens, coastal and urban landscapes as well as back roads and critters. Each piece is hand signed and made exclusively in the studio.White Night, by Alexey Makogonov, Oil pastel on paper, 19"x24" (click on photo for more work by Alexey)Alexey is a long-time resident of the North Shore where he lives with his wife and three children. He has been exploring various means of visual expressions for as long as he can remember, and draws inspiration from life observations and travels, although he never received any formal art education. He is a physician by training but has a soul of a sailor. When not at work at Beverly Hospital, Alexey can either be found somewhere on the water off the coast of New England or in his studio exploring a variety of media including oil, acrylics, pastel and ink. This is his first public showing.Blue Water Notes, by Cali Serino, Mixed media on paper, 5"x8" (click on photo for more work by Cali)Cali is a mixed media artist living in Beverly MA. Her work is an abstract exploration of shape, color, and gesture. She is inspired by nature, sounds, and everything around her and works out of her studio in downtown Beverly.
