Lynn Man Arrested in Connection with Stabbing at Rainbow Terrace
Salem Police have taken a man into custody in connection with a stabbing on Rainbow Terrace, according to police.

SALEM, MA — A Lynn man was arrested after an "intense investigation" in connection with an alleged stabbing which occurred on Rainbow Terrace in Salem Sunday morning.
Michael Anthony Castaldo, 25, of Lynn was arrested after several hours of search and investigation after police discovered a man suffering from apparent stab wounds on Rainbow Terrace Sunday morning, according to police. The man was transported to a Boston area hospital with injuries now believed to be non-life-threatening.
Officers later determined that the suspect had fled the scene, sparking a search by detectives and a Salem Police K-9 team. Police added that the incident does not appear to be a random act of violence, and that there is not currently believed to be a threat to the public.

Castaldo was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and armed assault to murder. His arraignment was scheduled for Monday.
