Makeup School on Saturdays, April Vacation or Good Friday?
Results so far of school makeup survey. As of Tuesday, school officials had received 1,787 responses.
The last day of school in Salem is currently scheduled for June 30. In the meantime, school officials are continuing to collect responses to the school “make-up days” survey.
The school district has already had seven snow days, and it’s only mid-February. School officials are asking parents to complete the online survey: Salem Public Schools: 2015 Snow Days Survey
As of Tuesday, school officials had received 1,787 responses. Here are the results of the survey:

- 44 percent of the respondents listed holding school on Good Friday, April 3, as their first choice.
- 21 percent suggested taking up to three days from April vacation.
- 12 percent voted to hold school on - up to - three Saturdays.
Salem school officials are expected to announce a decision on this matter by the middle to the end of next week, and they thank everyone who participated in the survey.
