Man Reports He Broke Tooth on a Crab Rangoon

The following was provided by the Salem Police. Where charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

The responded to the following calls and made the following arrests on Monday and Tuesday.

Monday, Sept. 3

4:05 p.m. — A man reported he broke a tooth on a crab rangoon at a restaurant on Highland Avenue. The man told police there was a hard object in the food. The man was advised the incident would be documented, but it was a civil matter.

4:17 p.m. — Police said a past break-in to a car was reported on Pope Street. Police said the ignition was hanging from wires on the steering column, but no items appeared to be stolen.

4:45 p.m. — A case of possible Craigslist rental fraud was reported on Boston Street.

5:43 p.m. — Police said a pedestrian struck by a van was reported at Washington and Harbor streets.

6:53 p.m. — A loud drummer was reported on Irving Street. Police said a man was working on a car with a hammer, and he was advised of the noise complaint.

7:33 p.m. — Two fires lit in trash barrels were reported on Margin Street.

9:02 p.m. — A scratched car was reported on Fort Avenue.

9:22 p.m. — Police said a woman reported her car was broken into while she was at the

11:08 p.m. — A loud party was reported on Hazel Street. Police said there were 25 to 30 college-aged kids in attendance.

Tuesday, Sept. 4

12:41 a.m. — A large group/fight in the street was reported on Lafayette Street, but police said by the time they arrived they weren't able to locate anything.

4:57 a.m. — Damage to a vehicle was reported on Traders Way. Police said it appeared someone had thrown rocks at the windshield.

7:28 a.m. — A sick raccoon was reported on Webb Street.

10:53 a.m. — Graffiti on an Ocean Avenue building was reported to police.

1:07 p.m. — Joseph Yannizze (see below) was arrested after police received a call about a shoplifting incident at .

2:54 p.m. — Larceny of a scooter was reported on Summitt Street.

Tuesday Arrests

Paul T. Carolan, 54, of 14 Washington Pl. in Peabody was arrested on a charge of violation of a protective order.

Calvin B. Freeman, 27, of 7 Orange St. was arrested on charges of assault and battery and assault and battery by a dangerous weapon.

Kilton Aldon Joyce, 52, who is listed as homeless, was arrested on a charge of violating the city's public drinking ordinance.

Matthew Eric Michetti, 44, who is listed as homeless, was arrested on a charge of violating the city's public drinking ordinance.

Angel A. Morales, 65, of 12 Pope St. was arrested on a charge of violating the city's public drinking ordinance.

Joseph J. Yannizze, 51, of 31 Salem St. was arrested on a charge of shoplifting by concealing merchandise.
