Marblehead Woman Arrested for Allegedly Biting Off Portion of Salem Police Officer's Ear
BREAKING: Police say the woman allegedly bit down on the officer's ear as she was being placed in a police cruiser.

SALEM, MA — A Marblehead woman was arrested after allegedly biting off a part of a Salem police officer's ear on Sunday morning, according to the Essex County District Attorney's office
Emma Wiley, 19, of Marblehead, faces multiple charges including aggravated assault and battery, mayhem, assault and battery causing serious bodily injury and resisting arrest. Wiley allegedly bit down on the ear of Patrolwoman Jessica Rondinelli as the officer was attempting to put her into a police cruiser.
The incident occurred after Salem police responded to a disturbance outside of a Salem restaurant.

Rondinelli lost a large section of the outer portion of her ear during the alleged attack. According to Essex County Assistant District Attorney Megan MacKenzie, Salem Hospital doctors were unable to re-attach Rondinelli's ear.
Wiley pleaded not guilty in Salem District Court to the charges, and was ordered held without bail after being found to be a danger by Judge Allan Swan.
