NH Fugitive From Justice Apprehended In Salem: Police
Salem police said Gianfranco Gonzalez had outstanding warrants on burglary, resisting arrest and criminal mischief charges.

SALEM, MA — A Haverhill man wanted on warrants for burglary, resisting arrest and criminal mischief out of Hampstead, New Hampshire was taken into custody on the Salem State University campus early Thursday afternoon, according to Salem police.
Police said they were conducting a joint investigation with Hampstead police into a reported connection between Gianfranco Gonzalez, 22, and a residence in the area of Rainbow Terrace. Police said they received a report that Gonzalez fled out the back door of an apartment and that he was seen walking on the SSU campus where they tried to take him into custody shortly after noon.
"University police were notified but detectives had to act quick to prevent Mr. Gonzalez from fleeing the area," Salem police said.

Police said Gonzalez resisted arrest and pushed an offer upon being confronted, and was then taken to the ground and placed under arrest.
He was charged with being a fugitive from justice from New Hampshire on the warrants for burglary forced entry, unauthorized taking, resisting arrest and criminal mischief, as well as Salem police charging him with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

Police said he will be arraigned in Salem District Court on Friday.
