North Shore CDC Awarded Eastern Bank Grant
North Shore CDC was recently awarded a $15,000 grant from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation in support of their CITC program.

North Shore Community Development Coalition (CDC) has recently been awarded a grant from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation in the amount of $15,000. This grant will double its impact by supporting North Shore CDC’s Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program.
In 2016, North Shore was awarded $110,000 in CITC tax credits to leverage $220,000 in investments and donations from local organizations and individuals. Investors like Eastern Bank who are interested in investing in neighborhood-based economic development provide working capital that can be used to achieve maximum impact in our communities. CITC investments also complies with Tax Credit Expenditure Commission and the Division of Banks recognize it as a qualified CRA Investment.
“The availability of quality affordable housing is extremely important for the health and success of individuals in families. We are excited to continue our impact on the North Shore with support from Eastern Bank Charitable Foundation,” said Mickey Northcutt, CEO of North Shore CDC.

“I am just grateful that in a tough economy like ours there are organizations that seek to ease the burden of those who struggle to get by. I have lived at Holcroft Park Homes for a couple of years now, and I honestly love it here,” said Roger, a resident of a North Shore CDC affordable housing development.
