North Shore Children Ocean Exploration Events Set For November

The "Our Giving Ocean" event shows children the history of North Shore marine exploration and how coastal residents interact with the sea.

SALEM, MA — North Shore students interested in ocean and marine exploration are invited to a Salem Sound Coastwatch "Our Giving Ocean" event next month to learn how coastal residents have interacted with the ocean through the years.

The event is open to children 4 to 8 years old and their families and includes a take-home craft kit.

The two events are on Nov. 4 and Nov. 18 from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Salem Sound Coastwatch offices on Federal Street in Salem.

Advanced registration is required here with child participation $10 each with an accompanying adult (adult admission is free).
