Arthur J. Cloutier, Jr, 72, died unexpectedly at his home on Friday May 22, 2015.
Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Arthur J. and Mildred (O’Connor) Cloutier Baker. He grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem Vocational High School, Class of 1962.

He then enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in Iceland and Guantanamo Bay as an electrician during the Vietnam War.
Upon returning to the US he continued his career as a Licensed Electrician. He worked for Eagle Can Company in Peabody, then most of his career was with the U.S. Postal Service at the North Reading facility.

Arthur was active in St. Ann’s Church, enjoyed Scuba Diving, photography, and was handy around the house able to fix anything. He was a member of the National Rifle Association (NRA), and was an instructor as well as a competitive pistol shooter.
He is survived by a daughter Michelle Cloutier of Beverly; a brother Richard Cloutier of Reading, and a sister Rosemarie Cloutier of Reading, and he leaves several nieces and nephews. He was the former husband of Benjina (Valun) Cloutier. He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by a brother Robert Cloutier.
