Elizabeth V. (Lima) Lake, age 54, died Thursday July 9, 2015 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of Aristides and Fatima (Freitas) Lima of Danvers. Elizabeth was a graduate of Peabody High School in the class of 1979. Following high school, she married Ernest Russell Lake and began her family. She raised her children working hard as a single mom.

As her children progressed in school, she began working at Salem State University in the Administration office for 15 years. She enjoyed crafting, music, dancing and traveling. She loved spending time with her grandchildren.
In 2012, Elizabeth was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Following an extensive journey, and long hard fight, she succumbed to the disease following complications of the illness.

Surviving her are her two children, Richard Lake and his wife Amanda of Rowley, Sherry Lake and her fiancé Melvin Reyes of Salem, her sisters, Jackie Morani and her husband Gregory of Middleton, Michelle Lima of Peabody, her grandchildren Anthony and Nicolo Bimbo and Mya and Ava Reyes all of Salem, John Russell Lake of Rowley, her niece De’Anna Morani of Middleton and a very large extended Family.
Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Danielle Holmes Yagjian Foundation, 200 Boxford Road, Rowley, MA 01969.
