Obituary: Helen R. (Zendarski) Kenney, Lifelong Salem Resident
Helen Kenney worked at EG&G in Salem for 42 years, and of those years, she was fortunate to work alongside her daughter for 41 years.

Helen R. (Zendarski) Kenney, 78, of Salem, wife of the late Richard E. Kenney, died on Friday evening at the Kindred Hospital North in Peabody.
Helen was born in Salem on January17, 1937 daughter of the late Albin and Mildred (Modecki) Zendarski. She was raised in Salem and graduated from the Essex Agricultural School, and was a lifelong resident of the city.

Helen began her 42 years working career at EG & G in Salem and was presently employed as a Senior Assembly Technician at Excelitas Technology Inc. in Salem. During her tenure she was fortunate to work alongside her daughter for 41 years.
She was a loving mother who devoted her life to creating a home for her family and was so proud of her grandchildren and their accomplishments and also spending precious time with her great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cruises and going to Las Vegas.

Helen is survived by 3 daughters and their spouses, Kathleen A. and Leo Quirk of Peabody, Karen Benjamin of East Mesa, AZ, and Kristen and Patrick Ramsey of Apache Jct., AZ; her cherished grandchildren and their spouses, Shannon and Daniel Follis, Patrick Quirk and his fiancée Devon Hubisz all of Peabody, Jason Dion, Craig and Michelle Roberts all of Salem, Melissa Dion, and Rachael and her wife Kathy Guerriero all of AZ, 7 great-grandchildren, Logan, Xander and Charlotte Follis, Brittney Dion, Justin and Kylee Clark, and Kevin Roberts; 2 brothers, Al Zendarski and Willie Zendarski both of Salem, many nieces and nephews, and her loyal companion dog Reina.
Her Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 10 a.m. at St. James Church, 159 Federal St., Salem, followed by her committal of ashes at Greenlawn Cemetery, Salem. As per Helen’s request there are no visiting hours.
